A hard morning

Here is Mom again with her red glass heart. She had a good weekend, but this morning she had a heart attack and is now in the hospital. The doctor suggested that, as Mom has a living will and is 90 years old that we could take her off life supports. That would mean no more tests or treatments. I agree with this. Then her body can either rev up again or she can die. As the body wishes. My brother however is not ready to do this, to admit that Mom is most likely dying. So she will rest tonight in ICU and we will see what tomorrow brings.

Thank you all for your ears and advice. I may not be reading blogs nor writing my own blog much in the next week. Namaste, Suki

Suki, I know you have struggled with this lately and felt this was upon you. It is a brutal place you are in and you need all the energy possible for the days ahead. You have a great deal of love and support here as always. You sound at peace with everything, but please know if you need to have a ear to listen I always have the time for you.

I send you a great deal of energy, peace and love.

Namaste to you, as well, my dear friend.

Oh Suki continued prayers coming your way for your whole family, As I started to read the first thing that came to mind was how is your brother going to take this. I pray that by morning's clear light your brother will see some clarity as well. 90 is fabulous and hope someday I may see it, but not on life support. God bless dear Suki!

To have reached 90 yrs of age is no small thing. quality of life is important here and you have made your decision from your heart and with good sense. It's up to your Mom now. I hope your brother comes to terms with it all in time too.

Love and support Suki, as always.

My dear friend Suki,

I came to see your latest craft or hunt for crafts and found something far different -- I found that you were in need of prayer . . . much prayer. Hard decisions -- I have no advice. I shall simply sit beside you in prayer and await your return to blogland. My heart is heavy for you, sweet friend. May blessings lift you and carry you through this. You shall be missed, but thought of in unceasing prayers showered over your entire family.

Dear Suki, we are all thinking of you during this difficult time, you have many friends in cyberspace, all of us have you in our deepest thoughts throughout the following days. Your Mother has reached an amazing age and it is her wish to leave this earth in a peaceful and dignified manner. I know it is so hard for your brother to let go of her, hopefully he will find some way to let her go soon. Namaste

your mom looks so happy and content...
sure what you need most at this time is being with your mother and with your SELF to assimilate the change... though you were expecting it...

i wish you a peaceful time and send my love to you and your mother.

Dear Suki,
I´m sure I left a comment here when I came home this week..... Now I only came back to say my thought are still with you all and see my comment is not there. Must have pressed some wrong buttons......

I was so sorry to read about your mom.
I hope you will all take a decision which is good for everyone.
It is hard to let go so some people tend to take other decisions.
I really hope your mother won´t have to go through unnecessary suffering .
Once again Suki, my thoughts are with you all no matter what decision taken.
I have been thinking about you a lot and in my mind I´m sending you love and light for all involved.

Big warm hug! >M<

What a beautiful woman your mother was. I just got the news a bit late and even though I see you've posted more updated news, I chose this one to leave my comment on because of your mother's face and the red heart necklace. I'm just so moved.
May you find peace in your heart dear Suki, and much comfort in your memories. She was so lucky to have you, and you her.
You'll be okay. Your friends will make sure of it. And so will your mom, I have a feeling.
