A peaceful Sunday

The milkweed pods are open and the seedlings blowin' in the wind.

Awaiting the deer.

I love the leafless apple tree. It is decorated with red balls for Christmas. :)

These are beautiful photos suki. Its a shame you dont keep them. They would be cool on a card to someone like I did my painting. Love that leafless apple tree. do you eat the apples?

Oh, your apple tree is a delight to see! I've never witness a fruit tree full of fruit, with no leaves. I love milkweed and haven't seen any since I was a kid.

74 degrees here this Wednesday.

I used to adore milkweed pods as a girl and it's been years since I played with one! The leafless apple tree does evoke visions of Christmas! :)

Thanks Lynn.

Annie, it's a beautiful day here. Im about to take a walk.

Marianne, the thing about cleaning and cooking it there is such satisfaction when all is clean and the cooked food is eaten.

Cris, the apples are inedible now. When my Dad took care of them though they were big and edible and delicous. I found out i can upload photos directly to Walgreens from my computer and have hard copies made. I have so far only done so with a few photos of mom and my son.

Katie Jane, that sounds like a right warm day. Not too hot but just right. Hope yr having a good weekend.

Willow, the pods are nice to make craft things from although I dont do that. I've seen some with little paintings done inside.

Teri, thanks. I think you'd do a lovely job on a milkweed pod.

the colours are so clear and so much more colourful than on our side of the pond, maybe it's because we always have grey skies...so glad your sunday was peaceful, so was mine. senita is so nervous about the wedding tomorrow, she's a ball of thorns (i mean nerves!)lotsa hugs.

i love the lightness and airiness of the one contrasted with the boldness and solidity of the other! the apple is a seed holder, too...love how nature does that--mixes things up! i see wild applesauce hanging there in them there trees....yum! i pick all the vagrant apples i can in the fall and peel them and cut them up for applesauce--best ever!

Lovely photo's - I also love the smell of fermenting apples left on the ground and trees - it's such a fall smell...along with the smoke from an apple-wood fire

Hi Soulbrush. I read about the big event today. So much excitement. Not sure why the colors are good. It may just be chance as we have had some grey skies here lately too.

Mary, these apples are pretty blemished and pitted. I took a bite from one, but you cant get much more than a little bite. They havent been taken care of for awhile, but the deer will love all these.

Mim, yes applewood fire. Hey, maybe my brother would let me chop down one of his apple trees to burn. :) Never....
