Look what came in the mail

This beautiful print on watercolor paper was created by Mary at Mary Richmond Design. I bought it in her Etsy shop. The proceeds from the purchase will go towards Breast Cancer Research. My mom got breast cancer last year at age 89. She had an operation but opted not to have either chemotherapy or radiation. For awhile she was on tamoxifin but now she has stopped that as it is contraindicated for people with heart problems. She came through the operation with flying colors. She's an amazing woman. And Mary is amazing too. Thank you Mary for your beautiful drawing and for giving me the opportunity to contribute to this wonderful cause.

Mary also included a sweet note on one of her notecards and a blank notecard and envelope for me to use. Lovely. Check out her notecards and prints and other items on her Etsy shop.
You will be pleased I am sure.

thanks again Mary for your lovely drawing/print.

Marianne, isn't Mary talented? I know Mary in person as I took a papermaking/bookbinding class from her on Cape Cod and also watercolor. And she took one or maybe two of my writing workshops too.

Cris, I'm so sorry you're Mom died of breast cancer. My friend Sarah died of it too and I know it was hard for her. I hope you are taking care of you and getting the yearly mammograms they suggest. Its not something I'm good about for myself, but then right now i"m away from "home" and my traditional medical venues, but no excuse.

Hey FY. Yes, Mary is pretty incredible. I feel luck to be her friend.
