Another hat

This mural is on a building in the nearby town with the bridges. It looks old to me so maybe is the original 1940's ?? mural.

What a nice sentence to invite people to a place..
And the hat again..
All through my life men have been "hatless", but I don't know why they are more of a man with them... you are right...

I love this mural. It blends so well with the Ella work I am doing right now. 1940's the era of my birth/childhood...how I remember men in hats, women too, my mom had hat boxes full of them in her closet, wore them to temple, to functions...hats and gloves, high heel shoes and pretty dresses...Thanks for the memories!

Love this billboard. wow that has to be the original. I LOVED the 30ies and 40ies era of dressing. It was elegant with the hats and all like Lynn mentioned. Now is the era of the Grunge.;(
I loved that movie Cold Comfort Farm because I loved her clothes and the story was cute too.It was in that era too. I see you have it listed on your home page.

Thanks. I find this mural or billboard or whatever it is very funny.

Cold Comfort Farm. Yes, there was the dressmaker at the beginning. The re are several versions of the movie. I own one. But I first came upon it via the novel which is wonderful. A satire really on the novels of the time although that doesnt come out in the movie. I lvoe the movie because (I forget her name but the young woman who goes to the farm, maybe it's Stella) is so upbeat and runs around helping everyone be happy and cleans up the place and so forth, almost superhuman effort but how wonderful.

Yes Suki.. I loved that part too. The movie I have is a recent one made in 1995 and her name was Flora Poste. I loved the part with the old Granny saying I SAW SOMETHING NASTY IN THE WOOD SHED. one never did find out what she saw. LOL
But in this one Floras clothes were what I loved. As they were of that period. I need to watch it again. How funny that your billboard would bring up those memory's. :-)

Oh and no I guess what we told you wont get you to where you want on the picture.. but if you find out let me know please.
