Nice Matters Award

Mary Richmond of Mary Richmond designs nominated me for a "Nice Matters Award."
The image “http://www.geocities.com/larramie/nice.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
This award is for those bloggers who are nice people; good blog friends and those who inspire good feelings and inspiration. Also for those who are a positive influence on our blogging world. Once you've been awarded please pass it on to 7 others who you feel are deserving of this award.

First on my list is Mary. Can I do that???
Thanks Mary!!!! for being a great in person friend and blog friend too. And a wonderful watercolor teacher and for inspiring so many children to create and become aware of the natural world around them. See Mary's blog here.

Irisz is from Budapest and paints the sweetest, though sometimes scary too, watercolors.

Rice is from Texas. She writes so well about creativity you just want to go out and start creating, makes out-of-site journal skirts, gives away handmade stuff she's had hanging around to blog readers, and has recently published a wonderful book about creativity. Read about her book on her blog. Some of her blog postings about her life in Texas and her travels are hysterically funny. You will laugh, I guarantee!!!

A new blog friend from Paris, Andrea, creates beautiful things out of textiles: cloth, fibers, beads, and paint. She loves cats and sometimes writes about her exciting world in Paris too. See her new Masks project on her blog.

Kimbofo from London writes an intelligent and articulate blog about reading and books, hosts a book club discussion every few months, also gives away books to blog readers.

Joanne B. Kaar is from Scotland and her blog tells about her three months at an artist retreat where she made paper from local fibers and bound incredibly beautiful books boxed in boxes she made all of which are on tour in Scotland. She sent message bottles into the sea. Maybe we'll find one here on Cape Cod.

Carol of Paris Breakfasts is a continual inspiration to me both via all the things she does and also the wonderful watercolor paintings and photos on her blog. Carol travels in Paris often and visits pastry and tea shops, art shops and more.

Sorry this is in italics but I could NOT delete the italics once I pasted in the award description. Grr.

Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog.
Well done on your award! Some of the bloggers you have nominated are already familiar to me, the others have given me some more great blogs to read, thanks. :-)

In answer to your question (on my blog comments) I can't call my art/creating 'Work' as it is too much fun! The term 'Work' always make me think of things that are a chore or unpleasant to do, a means to an end, hence my aversion to the word in relation to art.

best wishes
