Cold River Pottery

On Saturday I went down to the Cold River Pottery. There, Almut makes and sells some lovely vessels.

These blue and white bowls and pitchers are so charming.

I bought this pot as a gift. You use it for flower arranging. You know, flowers pierced onto those little metal frogs. I was quite captured by the interior glaze which looks like swirling water to me.


I also bought this bowl as a gift to my hostess on the Cape next week. How I love to buy handmade ceramics. A lovely excursion.

Way Behind

I'm way behind on thanking Soulbrush for this lovely friendship award. It is true, that blogging creates friendships and bonds in many ways. And thank you Mim for this wonderful ATC. I just love her face. It reminds me of Paris in the 1920's though not sure why. A lovely addition to my collection.

Love this quilt card. I admit it, I copied the idea of marking sewing lines like this on one of my barn board collages.
