good news

My poem "The Cloutie Well" has been accepted at Bloodroot Literary Magazine for publication in December.  I have only had two poems published in Literary Magazine's and the first was many years ago.

I thank all of you who sent prayers, good wishes and condolences regarding my brother's death.  I have had a week of ups and downs, very tired, making myself eat--that's hard.  But I know this will pass and I will balance out.  This is a part of life, after all.  Something that dances on our shoulder as we walk through life.

love, Suki

Congratulations on the poem being accepted. What a lovely thing to happen and at this time when you have lost your Brother. Hopefully more lovely things will be happening. It does take time to get over a loss such as yours. Glad to see you blogging. Congrats again.

Wonderful news about the poem. I love your last sentence here: "Something that dances on our shoulder as we walk through life". I suppose you mean death? It's a good and soothing image, to me. Take care...
