Out My Window

Now that I know I have a zoom on my camera, it's a little easier to photograph animals that appear close to me but used to show up as dots in the photos.
Some of you have seen this field and the piney woods behind it and the little house before.  All of this plus the pond now belong to someone else.
Pin the tail on the deer.

Such amazing greens!

The fields etc. now belong to someone else but apparently you can still share the view, and what a lovely view it is. The deer around here are getting a little too used to humans and are beginning to line up at the garden, impatiently waiting for the salad bar.

Oh I *love* the deer! Glad you were able to get a good picture to share with us! I know, am so sorry the land is now owned by others... Hopefully they won't build in the field! Enjoy it while you can! Hugs, Christine

There's something so peaceful, so comforting about the presence of a deer. I haven't seen so many year.

Laughing that you "found" the zoom on your camera! Glad you did. Fun to pull those animals right up close and personal isn't it? Wait till you see the owl my camera captured in flight (tomorrow on Animal Wednesday!)
I hope you got your prayer flags from the well area...is that theirs too?
And I also am glad you still have your pretty view. The cats looking out the window are adorable!

Gorgeous photos.... there IS something to be said about the area you live in... one can feel the warmth of the sun....almost see the Deer twitch her white tail... the whole scene radiates peace....

Thinking positive thought that nothing will change in those fields until you have gone elsewhere...

I hope you are enjoying *Carnivale*.....it isn't for everyone....but I was riveted...

Love to you and Bibs,

♥ Robin ♥

Will you be able to go to the pond still? What do they plan to do with it. Get the maple from the trees?
Love the white tail on the deer. We have mostly black tail deer here. A few white tail ones but mostly black.

it looks beautiful, romantically pastoral! we too have lots of deer around right now and lots of spotted fawns. I was walking on a trail today and a little one started running towards me (by mistake).

Suki, what a peaceful view you have - that alone is of great value! We have lots and lots of white tailed deer here and the sad part is that they have come out of the mountains to live here in the urban and suburban area. I am glad they are still hanging around in the rural parts up your way!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful, peaceful life with us!

the new owners are very nice and have said i can go to the pond once they create a pathway. right now it is too overgrown.

they will build a new house to the left of the little cabin. right in my view to the left. since we are so close perhaps they will put up a fence which would destroy my view.

the well and prayer flags were not part of the property they bought.

all this was once my Dad's. He bought the farm and 22 acres for his retirement home.

Oh, I'm glad they didn't get the well in the deal.
This is a peacefilled view, and it's nice to have the deer for company.I loved watching them at our lakehouse, but we don't have any around here that we've seen.

Changing times,,, bittersweet, isn't it?

haha, I remember the day we found the zoom! When Robin visited I found her zoom too :)

I love white-tailed deer. So much prettier than the mule deer in Monterey.

Perhaps you'll be moving on to greener pastures?

Suki, I have been off line for a week due to wireless issues. I'm so glad you got the cards and that you are seeing new things in them.

I hope to have a collaging day with you!

hello Suki, these are beautiful, peaceful photos. Hope the peacefulness will stay, or perhaps you'll get new fun neighbours? One never knows. Have a great Sunday, its raining cats and dogs in Paris

How I would love to have these animals in my view! Lovely photos - thank you! It's a wintry white frosty morning here in New Zealand.
