Ah, a day at the Manor

My hostess gift. 50 pounds of Burdick's chocolates. (or I could have gone to Paris for a week)

We arrived in the Maserati. How did we all fit? Don't ask.

My feet were bare, Cinderella without her shoes.

My gown elegant. Let's just hope it stays up. My figure is reminiscent of Twiggy's.

And I had and am having a divine time with my four dates, see sidebar. As last year, I danced and danced until my little head turned dizzy. Then I ate and ate until the scale showed five extra pounds. I met many fascinating people. And wandered the halls of the manor to my heart's content.

Thank you dear Willow, for a memorable time.

Suki, my sweets... you looked divine! That dress was perfect and suited your new *do*.... I think you and Tess may be on to something here - with your bare feet fashion! My poor little toesies are still aching after all that dancing in my Manolos...ouch!

Loved your hostess gift....delicious does not even define the taste of those Burdick's chocolates!!! I had to stop some of my dates from *pigging out*... David L and Erich K adore chocolate!

What a night! I was so happy we were able to meet, hug and share a few moments in the midst of all that partying! Mr. Yeats and Mr. D were fantastic conversationalists...I enjoyed *meeting* them... (tried to avoid Mr. Freud..too much personal stuff still going on for him to analyse)!

Will be thinking of you tonight at the *Don Giovanni* Final Dress! (I m wearing FLATS!)

Love to you and Bibs,

♥ Robin ♥

p.s. Everyone DID have a good chuckles as you and your *entourage* drove up in that car!
A-ha-ha!

I LOVE the dress you picked. But if you go barefoot how will you be able to find your prince charming by leaving one glass slipper behind?? :) What fun you all are having.

I think Freud might leave this party realizing he knows nothing about human behavior! Ha! Yates was surprisingly light on his feet and I had a lovely time listening to him recite his poetry. Now I know why he is my 18 year old son's favorite poet.

Barefoot is very practical and we all end up with our shoes off eventually!

wow, sorry I missed it! A dreamy day at the manner, the gown, the hair, the bare feet, the mazeratti. And your dates! And what else would do but scads of chocolate.

You must still be feeling inspired by it all!

You look delightful Suki,,,love that gown! And the new 'do' is perfectly chic, yet just un-done enough!

I didn't make it to the Ball this year,,,I've been out of town and indisposed in The South Of France.
(or maybe it was Kansas City,,,I get so confused,,,,,)
Did you save yourself a stash of that chocolate? If so,,,,pass it!
