Puttering with paint

Work continues on the wallhanging. Ginko leaves from Willow are glued on the circular shape. Dried poppy petals on the middle strip. I mounted the circle onto rice paper.

This is the way the circle began.

I am now making paper beads out of triangles of paper to use on the wallhanging after I paint and embellish them with glitter perhaps.

Close up.
Another page in my sketchbook. Acrylic, charcoal and a page from my old journal.

Wall hanging is looking good. Sketchbook page is showing that house again. The heart is where the home is :)

The vibrancy of the colours ... that I just love. And there's the approximation of the rainbow runing from bottom up that I really like as well. I love the way the central disc looks like it's shimmering. Hell ... I just love it all I reckon. Very nice indeed.

I hope the house hunting picks up soon. xx Jos

Your muse must be loving this warmer weather. The circle is coming alive.

I am just loving how the wall-hanging has evolved. The intense colours are wonderful, as are the textures. It's very special how you incorporated actual leaves and petals into it. The whole piece is absolutely throbbing with energy!

Interesting journal page. It's been on your mind for a very long time. It has to happen.♥

I lvoe the wall hanging Suki. I read these words from the Tao on Teri's blog this morning and it reminded me of your piece:

There is a time for being ahead, a time for being behind
A time for being in motion, a time for being at rest
A time for being vigorous, a time for being exhausted
A time for being safe, a time for being in danger
The master sees things as they are, without trying to control them.
She lets them go their own way, and resides at the center of the circle.

Suki---Love the detail in that one photo! Incredible. I put my name as a follower on your poetry blog and also this one too. I think that is the only way that I do it. I haven't done that thing (RSS feed) yet. I just post my stuff and if someone wants to come by and comment and also "follow" that is good with me. We are all so creative, aren't we? I see you around quite a few places. So glad to meet you.

Hey Suki--Did you see over at 66 Square feet her posting about milkweed? It looks as if she made a drink from it. I just noticed that you had a photo of milkweed in your sidebar.
