Disappointments, mostly in myself

The fields are abundant with flowering weeds like this red clover. Which is also a medicinal herb. I havent felt like talking about my dull life very much. On my trip to Cape Cod I looked at 8 houses/condos and bought none.

On my return to the north country I found this cottage on line. I drove by it. I loved it. It also has a little studio made in this style. But I was too late. An offer has been made on it. I then found another house I liked, though not as charming as this, and again when I called an offer had been made and accepted.

At the least I have reaffirmed my price range comfort zone which is so low it eliminates anyplace where people live and congregate and leaves this boonie dock place. These low priced homes are being snapped up like potato chips. While I was gone, five homes I had my eye on up here were gone by the time I returned. He who hesitates......

To alleviate some of my down feelings I got out some matte medium to use as glue.

I glued paper scraps onto tissue paper.

Then began painting with acrylics. Not sure what this will be. I had thought another well picture but want to just let it evolve without any concrete idea for now.

How frustrating and disappointing Suki. That cottage is so charming. Are you certain the offer was accepted on that one?

The other thought is, if there were five there should be more.
Too bad the Cape isn't very affordable. I couldn't believe the prices for the cramped in houses in P-Town, but you're also paying for a lifestyle on the Cape, not just the property.

I was surprised to see your colorful spiral morph into a shimmering disc! It will be fun to see what evolves next.

As for finding new digs, I think you've got the ball rolling again. Hopefully it will stop at the most perfect door.♥

I am sorry you missed it but just like Lo says they must be more so next time you will move faster.
And I would also innnquire if the bid was accepted. Sometimes (here) people bid and then later it gets clear they can't afford it which put the house back on the market again.
The shimmering mandala looks like magic.
You will find something Suki♥

Bummer, that is a cute cottage, but things happen (or don't) for a reason. I'm sure the right place will find you.

Have you thought of having a home built for you? You could do that cottage style you like.

Suki, The right house for you is out there. You learned something out of this and that is what counts.
Your disc is interesting, wonder what it will be :-).
P.S. I am still looking for the perfect thing to send you for your well, I have not forgotten.

Rent on the cape suki!!! As of September!!!

That will change everything and then you can take a leisurely year finding your perfect place.

I am charging you 38 cents for this clearheaded advice :-)

This is a beautiful piece...could lend itself to a well lid or stand in its beauty by itself!
Would you consider another area...Florida where the housing market might be more affordable?
Don't be hard on yourself!

I'm with KJ - renting will give you some space to operate in without rushing. It takes a while to find the right place - I know from experience!

Love your artwork & look forward to the finished piece!

How frustrating your situation is .... But some things happen the way they do for a reason. Maybe you would have been getting into something that seemed right at first, but only to find out later it just wasn't quite right. And as Lolo said, if there were five, there should be more ..... I'm hoping for you that you will find the place that has the right fit.

Hi Suki,
I'm sad that the house thing is being so hard for you. It's hard to make a decision on your own - it's nice to have another person to discuss all the little details with.
I was surprised to see the progression of the disc - both are beautiful, but so different! Almost like they came from different people.
Enjoy the vibrancy of spring, and know that the right home will turn up for you when it's ready.

Suki, I am afraid to even think of what it will be like when I eventually move. My therapist says as long as I am healthy enough to negotiate stairs, I don't need to. But I do not want to live in this big house alone when I retire...so eventually I too will be going what you are going through...I love that cottage though...I am sad you hesitate and then regret...
