An Irish Ditty

Ah to be violet again
dark and vibrant
snappy and sassy
with all the shamrocks in the neighborhood
chasing after me for a taste of
ale
and a bite of my
buttermilk and raisins.

I still have a bit o' the snap
in me
it's just my petals are white
and my stem leans a tad toward the ground.
But for all of that
I'm easier to catch.

Ah, Suki, charming lassie! Ye STILL be as vibrant and wonderful as when ye were a wee one!

You and Willow both had fantastic poems on this subject! It's a sunject close to my heart as I'm half-Irish on my Father's side!

Erin go Bragh!

May the day be warmer, the winds mild and you and Bibitty safe at home, well-fed and dreamy....

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

I too, love this poem. You've still got it Suki...all of it ;)

After all, didn't you say you were a moll??? Too funny!

So cute. Doesn't this simply describe us all? I feel my stem bending more each year and if not for Loreal my hair would be silver too. :)
I love the "values" in this photo!

This is an awesome poem, Suki, I couldn't help smiling. You have a load of the "snap" still with you.

My hair is white and my stem leans a tad as well...but, nonetheless, it's all good!
