Bibs and Bobs

Lovely sun yesterday. Bibs is enjoying it in the sun window. I am not feeling well. So thus will keep this short and also may or may not be able to get around to you all's blogs. It is not a cold or flu but I fear something organic. I am semi-fasting and resting. Will see a new physician (GP) tomorrow.

As you may note I was finally able to change my background image thanks to a link Kelly (Kikopotomus) sent me. I logged on to my blog from Internet Explorer, rather than my usual Firefox, and the template page was active.

It was a very lonely weekend. I now see why people have partners. When you are ill, it is so good to have another human present to talk about what you should maybe do regarding your symptoms. Well, that's kind of an awful statement: that I might want a partner for support when I am ill. Of course, there are many other reasons and benefits to having a partner. That's just the one I am noting now.

The trees are enmeshed in fog this morning. I will continue to rest and read. Hugs, Suki

I hope you recover quickly Suki, I wish I could pop over and make soup and bread to nourish yo in this time of illness, instead my thoughts and energy come to you through the blogosphere and I wish you good health in this new year.

Oh Suki... I am so sorry you are feeling were in my thoughts the last few days - because I have learned just how difficult it is to go through the holidays alone..... it is not easy.

I love the photo of Bibs, dreaming in the sun....a lovely shot!
I hope the sun stays out for a few more, it's been nothing but cold, wind and rain!
Definitely not uplifting weather!

Off to the de Young this morning....(rain or no rain)....
I will ring you later...just to check on you....

Suki, I know what you mean. I wish I lived next door so I could bring you soup! Take care and keep us informed and get better quick. Love and hugs, and to Bibs too!

I'm sorry that you're not feeling well. It's so unsettling, I know. Resting...and not letting the mind take over with worries and dire good medicine for the interim. It's good to see you're taking comfort and enjoying the exemplary (non)action of Bibs.

Hey there! So sorry you are feeling down in the dumps and not well too. Bummer!!! You do have all of US HERE remember, even if we can't be there in person, we are HERE. So sending virtual chicken soup. Throwing in a matzo ball too. They are good comfort food.
When you said that about not having a partner I had to laugh. Not at you but what popped into my mind was not the good they offer but the messes (he) they make! LOL
Shame on me. Are we ever 100% satisified? Probably not. Just to say both ways of life have perks.
I hope you find out what's bothering your body soon and it rights itself quickly. Hugs from me. You can always email me too you know!!!

Suki, I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. And I know it's very unsettling to be alone when not up to par. I was alone when I broke my foot, but managed to get to the E.R.
I hope the doc appt. goes well, and you find that it's something very small and manageable, with a quick resolution.
PS: Don't forget, you MUST eat something. You will feel worse w/o nourishment.

So sorry to hear you still don't feel well. I hope things get better soon. Good you are going to a new doctor. We are always thinking of you. Being Married doesn't always mean you aren't alone. My Niece is married to a husband who would rather be with his Mama then home with her. Lots of hugs to you. Keep us posted.

Sorry that you are unwell Suki. Perhaps you should snuggle up next to Bibs and stay warm in the sun. I hope your GP can right whatever is wrong and that you are back to health again soon.

Lucky thing we don't all live next door or you'd have countless bowls of soup to deal with!! :)

Oh I am so sorry that you are not feeling well, Suki.
I agree that you should snuggle up with Miss Bibs and enjoy any sunshine that's going.
Sending you warmth and sunshine from our summer to your winter!

Well this sweet picture of snoozing Bibbity just makes me smile! What doesn't bring a smile to my face is that you're not well again. I'm happy to hear you're marching yourself to a new GP to get some things answered/addressed.

You really would have to contend with a lot of chicken soup if we were all neighbors. What a visual!
I do hope your rice, toast and tea are soothing and nourishing.

Please rest and take care. And we're all standing by to hear what the doctor recommends.
Hopefully all you need is to just ease into this new year knowing you are loved and that this too, shall pass.

love and hugs~

Yes, Suki, I, too am finding it hard to be alone. I was nervous about buying that car by myself (first time in 37 years) and now a house? It takes a bit of getting used to. The holidays were empty and lonely for me too.
So sorry you are feeling poorly. I can't imagine being that isolated, like you are. At least here there are a dozen people I can call on at a moment's notice. I hope you get to feeling chipper soon.

I am sorry Suki!
Also you have to cope with that alone.
Well not only a partner would be a consolation but having friends around you too. You live so isolated there........
Well I hope the doctor could help you yesterday!
Take care!
