Suki goes to the ball (this one works)

Suki was one of the first to arrive at the ball in her hired limo, a Pope-Hartford, driven by H. of Cincinnati, an antique car expert.

Suki's hair,
her dress encrusted with beads and sequins
her shoes and

evening bag created a striking ensemble. She just glittered! Ohh's and ahh's were heard all around the room when she entered, escorted by:

Daniel Day-Lewis, who accepted her invitation to the ball, despite the fact that he tends to be somewhat reclusive. He was born on April 25th, 1957 and grew up in London, the son of Irish-born Poet Laureate, Cecil Day-Lewis. A few of the films he has appeared in are: The Unbearable Lightness of Being, the first film Suki saw him in, at which sight she fell in love. You may also remember him in My Left Foot and The Last of the Mohicans. Suki adores his intense good looks and his impeccable acting style.

Pierre Bonnard also agreed to return from Artist's Heaven and accompany Suki to the ball. Bonnard (October 3 1867-January 23, 1947) was a French painter known for his use of intense color, small brush strokes and close values. He often spent years on a single painting. The above self-portrait gives a hint of his complex style. Suki hopes to query him on his thoughts about painting, among other things.

And Suki's third partner for the ball is Allen Ginsberg (June 3 1926-April 5, 1997.) He was a Beat Generation poet, political activist and photographer. His poem HOWL inspired Suki when she was in high school, feeding her fledgling desire to be a poet. Ginsberg was also a practicing Buddhist who studied with Chogyam Trungpa, founder of the Naropa Institute. There, Ginsberg and poet Anne Waldman created the poetry program called the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics. Suki also studied Buddhism with disciples of Chogyam Trungpa. She and Ginsberg will have a lot to talk about for sure.

Suki was so excited about the ball, and the opportunity to dance and chat with her partners and all the other folks, that she could not sleep the night before. She hopes to drink lots of champagne to overcome her shyness. And she will dance all night........

You will transform as soon as you put on that dress and those shoes. You won't need champagne to open up and have a blast. The stage is set so enjoy yourself.

Suki, you look stunning this evening! And whoa! What a trio! I have to be careful to not let my jaw drop, while gazing at the lovely Mr. Day-Lewis. I'm trying to convince Marty Scorsese to cast him as Lincoln. Maybe with a few more Last Word cocktails, he'll agree.
