Here are my 7th Chakra pages. I used elderberry juice for the first layer of color, adding some blue acrylic to make purple. This Chakra represents spirituality, universal identity and connection. The element is thought/cosmic consciousness.
We are, we know. Om. Halo's arise from 7th Chakra auras. This Chakra connects us with the infinite. It is at the crown of the head and it is the crown and culmination of all the other Chakras.
The lotus is a thousand petaled lotus. Sahasrara means thousandfold and/or all is one. Vitality is a characteristic.
Here are the front and back covers as they are now. They are incomplete. In fact, I might putter with all these pages now and again. I want to decorate the edge with beads and somehow letter the word Chakra on the cover. Lettering is not one of my skills.
Interesting to note how my painting style changed as I moved through the Chakras. The first four I painted with a credit card for a brush in primary colors, without a lot of nuance. For example see the 2nd Chakra here.
Then with the 5th chakra and the deeper colors of blue, indigo and purple I used a regular brush and obtained a more open, expressive and flowing effect. I did not do this consciously, but when you look through the book there is a marked difference that perhaps reflects the essence of the last three Chakras. To be more open and flowing.

Suki (aka Pippi - love your header), this is a wonderful book and a fabulous page. You have hit my favorite colors perfectly. I love the small flap to the right side, too. I think you have captured the essence of the Crown Chakra perfectly here!
I love this idea to create this book of Chakras. It makes perfect sense, too. Thank you so much for sharing it with us all. It is truly beautiful.
Beautiful page Suki, this one is my second favorite, I love the blues and purples. Lovely book Suki. Have a wonderful Sunday and kisses to Bibs.xoxo
P.S. I love that Pipi is back! xoxo
Oh yes, it looks like you're channeling Pippi!
The book turned out wonderful. I like how you noticed the chakras matched the energy of the strokes and process.
Amazing!
PIPPI! It was so wonderful to see you (oops - her) up on the Header again! (Of course, I will always love the shot of the moon against the blu aand pink clouds.....will never forget it..)
This seventh and last Chakra is exsquisite. The colours, the subtle blending, the words....although I am just learning about Chakras - making this journey with you has taught me a lot.... and, your painting and talent in conveying the emotion behind each Charkra has been enlightening. I did go back and look at the earlier ones...to compare....they all reflect so much...all different - yet now, all part of one cohesive end.
BRAVA! And...thank you for sharing these rich works with your friends!
Love,
♥ Robin ♥
Lovely pages...your chakra work takes me back in time...memories of another part of my life in the 1970's. ;-) Love the purple pages and see things appearing out of those covers.
This has been quite a journey and ending with beautiful wisdom. Having it real and tangible would seem comforting. I like that you began with the berries.
On a different subject, I've been finding example of gowns on "red carpet sites".
Thank you for sharing this.
Nothing has helped me more than Chakra meditation.
The spirals are also very interesting to me.
Beautiful work.
ps...Your header is awesome!!!
These are some rich colors. I can't wait to see how you decorate the covers.
It's the berries! Yes, lovely flow to it. I like how you noted the difference in approach to painting the lower chakras in comparison with the more free-floating of the higher ones. Earth bound vs spirit flow, perhaps reflected there.
Your covers are rich with expectance. Thank you for sharing your chakral explorations.
I love the colours these berries produce! It matches the chakra perfectly!
I love your book, although I am not well versed in the Chakras. Your pages are all so pretty.
I believe I've thanked you before for this series, but I will say it again. They are all so informative.
I noticed how much more flowing the last few are, as you go closer to the crown chakra. That's very interesting.
This book of chakras really is beautiful...I would love one and perhaps I'll find the time to do it, lol!
My.... I love this one!
Pure magic!

I know nothing about chakras,
but this is beautiful work. I especially like the vivid purple spirals, and that you painted with berries.
The picnic with your son sounds fun.
there is something so sacred about your artistic created book.
Love your Pippi header.Your pages here are so colorful and pretty. Nice to see you working on projects now.
Oh, these are wonderful, Suki. I love the luscious violet hues. And thanks for your kind comment over at WM this morning. It feels so affirming to know someone "got" my piece! xx
