My limo for Willow's ball

I have rented this wonderful car, a Pope-Hartford, to arrive in for the ball on September 30th. The Pope-Hartford Manufacturing Company in Hartford Connecticut was founded by Colonel Albert A. Pope and produced cars from 1903-1914. At the time, Hartford was the auto capital of the world. Previously Pope had produced bicycles.

The early cars had a one cylinder engine, two forward speeds, brass trimmings and removable covers. They were very stylish and luxurious. I am still awaiting word from the three men I invited to be my escort. I wonder if a ride in this car will persuade one of them?

Sna-zeeee, Suki! I must make a note to be standing out at the drive to watch your grand arrival. Have your driver give me a heads up! :)

Will it be orange, or have you arranged for it to be painted, say elderberry?
And what will you do if the car persuades all three to reply in favour? Have two ride on the running boards (what a great scene that would be!)?

orange. the color of the sacral chakra (home of our sexuality, LOL)

I'll bet you'll be taking all three men with you in this car! What have you decided to wear? It sounds like some have ordered dresses from the dressmaker, rather than buying ready made. But with the ball on Sept 30, it may be too late to have it made...better rush, Suki!!!

Haha, I love this idea!! And I love your new header!

Suki, I can tell you any man who would turn YOU down (car or not) does not deserve to go to this event in the first place! Willow sure seems to have things going on and she sure knows how to choose blog friends, too. Now that you have the car (you modern woman, you) what are you going to wear?

I am loving all of the bits and pieces in your side bar! You create a beautiful atmosphere here.

Oh this is funny! Or I am. I thought you were actually attending a real ball and for some reason it seemed all quite un-Suki-ish.But now I get it after visiting Willows blog. I can't wait to see what you will be wearing as you are escorted grand style in that awesome veichle.
(There is one like it btw outside a huge carwash place where I live). LOL Dance the night fantastic. I can't wait to see who YOU choose to be your escort.(s).

PS I have no idea what happened to my ETSY store, I will have to investigate. But all my art is in shows right now anyway. LOL

Can your ride accommodate for 4? I am sure the three gentlemen you invited, will all say yes for a chance to go to Willow's ball with you ;-)

Mim, although my P family lived in Connecticut for a few generations and Massachusetts since the mayflower, I dont think this man is a relative but I admit I am attracted to the car because of the name.

Very stylish! I say invite all three men Suki, they can fuss over you like Scarlett O'Hara, bringing you plates of food and drinks and offers to dance! You will have so much fun!

Suki, I love this car....it's perfect for you and ALL of your Gentlemen! Hey - I am bringing three men too - although I seem to be "sharing John Fowles" with dear Amanda! Therefore, I have asked a potential "4th" to be covered! (Aren't we shameless?)

I love the thought of two of your dates standing on the running boards....

Let's go gown hunting together! I'll be in touch!

We are going to have such fun!

Love,
