and what did I see, but the pink of the sunset and the waxing Gibbous 58% of full moon staring down at me. I raced outside to photograph this for
Robin who, in fog bound San Francisco, longs for glimspes of moon or sun. (I only know that about the waxing Gibbous from her website sidebar.) Click to enlarge photo

A beautiful view indeed. I love these kind of skies but they are so short lived you need to be there quick and enjoy.
Lovely and the new header photo is perfect, too...cool crisp nights ahead.
Suki, thank you for this WONDEROUS gift! When i saw your new header, it took my breath away..... the subtle, twilight shading of the clouds....and of course my "old friend "La Bella Luna"!
I am so happy you stepped outside and aptured this lovely scene.
You really are a Goddess!!!
Love and Gratitude for your Caring Heart!

WF: "PODRFOG"! NOT FUNNY! ;)
Beautiful photo and I can see (as if I did not know) that Robin loved it.

Looks like pink cotton candy rolling over the trees there. So pretty. I saw that very moon last night from our backyard. Will post about that soon too. ;-)
I saw some gorgeous wispy little pink clouds just outside my door yesterday evening...thought about running back in and getting my camera, but didn't...ah, the ones that get away...
Wonderful colorful photo Suki. I am really curious about the comment you made about making paper from hosta leaves. How cool is that??.. Do you still have some of it??
I dont have any more hosta paper. It comes out differing tones of green depending on the season you pick the leaves. You have to cook the leaves and then beat them with a hand held beater like a meat softener thing. then disperse the fibers in a vat of water, then pull up the paper sheet with a mold and deckle.
beautiful, suki
i just had my own version of sunshine and moonlight in the form of one marianne and one lolo. what a great time we had!
me too, first saw the header and gasped, what pure natural bliss. just been to visit patty and read about panda, made me sad all over again thinking of ms emily.
What a beautiful view you had. Good job on the photo. Thanks for sharing.
Very magical photo Suki, you were lucky to peek outside your window at that moment.
my daughter and I had quite a debate last night about gibbous and crescent and ended up going to the dictionary. she is only 8 mind you :)
This is just beautiful! Everything is so clear and crisp, the contrast so sharp. I love this photograph.
Suki, you and your camera finds the most amazing shots! This is truly beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing it.
Absolutely gorgeous!
(as is the header)
I find that building sooo intriguing, and enlarged to get a better view. Great photography Suki!
It hardly looks real! Cotton candy clouds. So pretty.
Beautiful colours and composition Suki.
Wonderful shot Suki.
This is my favorite time of day when the sky is that "Maxfield Parrish" shade of blue and the clouds are peachy hued.
Lovely.
Lo♥
