Addictive

Making a few more Peace cards. The process is meditative and addictive. These are smaller than the one shown yesterday, pictured below. They are 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. On colored card stock of which I have quite a few colors.

Here is the larger one (5x7) for comparison. Made on cream colored watercolor paper. I only have one color of this paper. When I made these before I made each flag exactly the same size with straight cut edges. I had some way of making the string line perfect. Now, I'm keeping some edges torn, some cut. And so far just winging it w/the string line.

Which size do you like best??? What's your vote sizewise? Larger cream colored or smaller various colors?

PS. a friend emailed me and asked if I minded if she borrowed my Peace card idea. Of course, ideas are not owned by the idea thinker person as far as I know. But it was nice of her to ask. In fact, I invite everyone to borrow this idea. We need as many peace cards in the world as possible. If you do this, share your results!!!!! And I will link to your blog post here.

I like them all. I do love the torn edges though. It's like the real deal tattered from the winds.

I may try a few but not to sell.
I'll help spread peace to my friends.
I'll link to you when I do ;)

Me too..... they are all beautiful....but, if I HAD to choose, then I would go for the coloured ones... I love the tattered edges - they remind me of ones fluttering in the Himalayas....or one Santa Fe Summer in Tesuque, in a grand house Chris and I rented, where they boldly flew and greeted us daily.

Suki - these are gorgeous! One may I may even attempt some.....

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

I too like them all. I think the size of preference is what you want to write on the inside. If you are windy with big handwriting like me you would want the larger size, however I love the color of the smaller sizes. I have seen these peace flags in a garden before. I think they are marvelous as your cards depict.

I love the colored cards best, but the cream is nice too. ;-) Both sizes fine, And I love the challenge to make some. Torn edges best and I will have to mix fabric and paper as it's my style! I would also go for a peace card swap like we did with the post cards! Whatcha think?

these look like a lot of fun to make! i love the cream card because it sets off the flag colors, and i love the larger size but they're all really wonderful.

I love both sizes. I love the colored ones because they're colored but the images seem to pop off the ivory paper.

I like your cards. Busywork is theraputic. I guess I would be more likely to want smaller cards. Just depends on how much of a letter I needed to put inside, I guess. I like the torn edges better also.

What a fine addiction that is! Spreading peace and having fun while doing so. I love the coloured cardstock ones best. They are so vibrant, and the ragged edges and wavery clothesline add to the exuberance.

Lovely cards! Great idea and looks like a great way to use smaller remnants of collage papers [which I know I am going to find a use for as soon as I throw them out!]. I like the coloured bases best!
