Knock, knock. Anybody home? I found this cute little animal house door out by the garden. Maybe Mary knows who lives in here, I sure don't. Does this count inKim and Andrea's door queens project?
I second Kim's comment....it is definitely one of Beatrix's or perhaps, the White Rabbit, himself....or.....and this is a possibility - KJ's "Emily" has been a-callin'!
No matter who....it is adorable! Keep watching Suki, when you pass by, you just may see who the "Owner" is!
I think you should set up a lawn chair and sit and wait and watch! Bring cookies and tea perhaps and when they come out to see the sun you can all sit round and sip and munch!
I love the flowers on your header, that particular shade of blue being my favourite.
Wouldn't it be great if we could make ourselves small enough to explore all the little animal homes we find in the garden? I'd ask Emily...she'd know who lives there!
it's the right size and shape, they don't mind living close by and they can make a fast escape...and they can squeeze in a tiny space so keep your eyes open to see one! or hear one chip away.

Thats what I thought when I first saw this.. Andrea and Kim. but then I thought of Beatrix Potter. one of her critters could be in there. :)
Hard to judge the scale but it looks to me like a groundhog. Not cute!

Love grape hyacinths...they even smell like wine to me!
That hole does looks fairie like...
it;s the home of a tiny little person who simply coudn't decide where to live, so they dug a hole.
Let that be a lesson to you

New banner if a beaut!
ok when i read these comments I ran outside w/my ruler and measured this thing. It is one inch in diameter, so way too big for a groundhog I think.
I mean way too small for a groundhog.
I have no idea who owns it, but it is darling.

I have some of those holes in the garden too. I don't know what is coming out this time of year.
How about a crawdad hole?
Do you have snakes where you live?
Good that you are thinking about doors Suki :)
Those flowers on your header are sublime!
when I find a hole like this in the ground, I also wonder what animal lives down there-- another home to imagine.

Oh my, I burst out laughing when I read Mim's comment! What a smarty, that one!
I think it's a mole hole maybe. They usually dig themselves out after a long winter's nap ;)
oh yes definitely a beatrix potter hole. i simply adore bp's books.
i'm guessing chipmunk....;-)
