Presents to me from me

I ordered a few books for inspiration. The only kind of print making I've ever done is monoprinting which I love. This book has some more ideas to try.

I'm not an abstract painter but just curious and wondering if I might try a few.

This book is chock full of ideas to inspire you to think differently about time and space. Lovely photos.

Oooo, yummy books! I considered that last one myself. I ordered a couple new ones from Amazon, but they are not here yet. I've never tried to do any printing at all. Should be interesting to see what you do with it. I love giving myself these kinds of presents!

Suki, those all look wonderful. I have some new reading material myself. That's one of the best feelings--having new books to explore. It's the opportunity to wander through another's mind.

You have excellent taste in gifts!
I have the "Abstract Painting", and I'm betting you will enjoy it.
The one on printmaking looks very interesting to me. (but then, don't they all)
Your header is awesome Suki!

Suki - I do love your new header. Please tell me that is part of where you call home. So real - so Americana. The books - Merry Holidays to YOU YOU YOU! No better splurge exists than a little something to jump start those creative juices. You are gonna have a blast!
Happy New Year Suki.

Thanks everyone.

Babs, I thought I had read about that abstract book somewhere either your blog or Kim's perhaps so it stuck in my mind. I met an abstract painter recently who may begin to give classes soon I think so i could take a class w/him too.

Cathie, that barn is on the property I currently live on. It is now owned by my brother. the barn is really, in my opinion, the neatest building on the property.
