Not much happening around here either. We didn't get the two inches of snow; only a light dusting, which pleases me much. I like those origami cards you have. I want to maybe work more with some paper folding. I've done one, which I am saving for a sketchbook page so I can't show it yet. I like the antique Christmas photo, too.
Well I just put some chicken pieces and veggies in the slow cooker, cut up three beets and each time I cut one in sections a quarter of it fell to the floor, so mopped up red beet juice over and over again...but food is being made so NOW I can go create! Do I need to get out of my pjs first? Why? It's Sunday.
I like your folded Santa and the photo makes me wonder if that child, Helen, had a happy time on Christmas morning opening gifts that delighted her?

Lynn, beets are a trip arent they? You know that little girl looks so sad doesnt she. And I spelled her name the way it was spelled on the back Hellen. I wonder about that.
Did you get lots of snow? I have no clue who that little girl is. I found lots of old photos that were my Grandmothers that had no date or names I knew on them. Nice to see these old photos getting used for something. They once meant something to someone.
I noticed what you were eating today is one of my husband's favorite combos.
Well, I'm fully indoctrinated now. Nearly 2 feet of snow! The bonus is I found my portable heater and now the studio is toasty warm. I did an illustration for IF, printed cards and labels and just plain hung out in my grubby clothes. mmmm, Bliss ;)

hi suki - sorry you are feeling overwhelmed by life at the moment. it has happened to me too and it does pass. so think of yourself as a mountain and the storm clouds surrounding you will soon blow away. the sun will shine again.
i know you are probably missing your mom today, so it must be hard to have the 'happy christmas' everyone wishes for you.
still, 2010 is a new year with new opportunities to grow and change, letting go of the past.
