I've finished my page for Girlfriends. Background is self-painted rice paper. Beads and stones and brads. Ribbon and more rice paper. Glitter. The quote is "joy is exactly what's happening minus our opinion of it." Joko Beck. I will mail this on to Katie Jane in a few days, as she is away in the Rockies next week.

The pearls are so girly while the fabric seems masculine. A lovely marriage.
I think this is a good expression for "joy"
I'm glad you have some materials set aside so you can continue art making!! Talk about joy!
Beautiful page with ditto quote!
Hope you are having a nice weekend!
i find it very unusual for joy....mmm hope i get to see it...what's happened to these books? are they still circulating? i had almost given up on them, haven't had one for ages and ages.
Lisa, thanks for your reflections.
layers, well, it is a definition that makes you think
Blue Sky, I kept unpacked a large box filled with paper scraps and other oddments but I ran out and purchased the glitter
Marianne, a nice cosy day with lots of rain today.
soulbrush, you should get this after kate does. I think this is only the 4th I've received so far for this round robin.
What Girly Girl doesnt like Ribbons and lace and jewels? Pretty page.
Suki, It is a wonderful work of JOy! I do hope that you meant to be sending it off to me...not Kaite, as you posted. Or do I have the order wrong?
Suki I really like this color combo, and the softness of it over-all.
Very nice page!
Karen, Suki sends to Kate, Lynette sends to you.
Suki to Kate, Kate to Soul, Soul to ME!!! Oh goodie. It's even MORE confusing if you are in two of these book groups like I am.
Suki, pretty piece...can't wait to touch it in person. Love all parts, embellishments, et al.
actually, Karen I have to check as didnt I at one time send you some pages??? yes. I too am in two groups so maybe I got mixed up.
Hmmm, the page is beautiful Suki and it goes so well with the quote.
The reason I said Hmmmm is the order of sending/receiving seems to be messed up as I read these comments. I'm heading over to Lynn's and Soul's place!
Great job on this, really lovely.
Lolo, I am in two round robins. These pages were for the one Katie Jane began--girlfriends-- and I checked the list. I mail it to Karen Christensen in Chicago.
