artsy soul sisters page one suki

I've chosen an accordian style page, 13 inches by 5 inches. The thirteenth inch is folded over for a flap ready for the next page. No theme. Please deocrate your addition in your favorite way.
I will mail this to Katie thursday or friday.
On thursday it is off to the vet's in Massachusetts again. That takes half the day. Ah well.

For these pages I used rice paper, self-decorated tissue paper. magazine tear out's, wire, glitter glue, marker pens, tulle.

I love this idea Suki! The orangey one is my fave, with the alien like creature - interesting!

I hope your cat gets some happy news at the vet.

Oh my gosh Suki, this is wonderful. The lady is so contemplative. I can't wait to see it in person.

I didn't get my page finished yesterday. :( I will work on it after work. Your page is inspiring me to finish.

It's nice to see one so far because I'm stuck even getting started. This beautiful beginning has truly inspired me! The orange and purple create such harmony.
It will be nice to see what you come up with for your cover.
Wonderful Suki!

Good Lookin' Suki!
I like the firey warmth of the page on the left, and also the addition of the wire and beads.
Very nice,,,I'm going to enjoy seeing the work of artists I'm not familiar with.Good beginning, Suki!

Patti, that alien like creature is a photo from a magazine of a Native american stone painting. I think they are called Petroglyphs. I have seen some in New Mexico and love them.

Soulbrush, yes I've now published this on the official blog. hurrah.

thanks Lisa. These pages seem unlike me, but its what came together. Most of my supplies are packed so I'm just pulling from a scrap box.

thanks Andrea. I love these colors too.

lolo, not sure I will have a cover but if so I wont do it till I get the finished book back. I ended up not really liking these pages but I didnt start over as I dont want to be to perfectionist about this.

thanks Babs. I'm sorry a couple of folks from abroad dropped out. I was sort of excited that folks came from so many different countries. I look FWD to doing this, I love this passing the book around thing.

What a wonderful project! I love the pages you've created and glad you didn't let that Inner Critic persuade you to do away with them or "improve" them. Go with the flow, I say! I look forward to seeing more.

I missed this somehow. You are starting out with a bang. Such lovely colors. This will be fun watching what each of you Girls come up with.
How is Kitty doing? I hope much better. Is Brother doing the cat sitting while you go to the Cape?

I see art! *Smile* The richness of colors and that delightful purpley-swirl capture so much essence of Suki. I love it!

I'm glad your artistic nature poured out for my return to blogging after a bit of a break. What a gift. : D

louciao, welcome. I don't have enough time to let the critic step in.:)

thanks Katie Jane

Cris, my son will stay here with the cats while I am gone. He is bringing his cat along so I hope that doesnt cause any problems among the cats.

The tulle is a great addition. A nice mix of exotic and fanciful. A soulful Suki contribution to the collaboration.

I love hand made or altered books--- trying to get up the nerve to make one myself-- actually looked at a blank book today-- guess that is a start.
