No corny jokes please

As you may have guess from the "eating" section of my sidebar, when corn is in season I eat it every day! My whole family loves corn. Mom and Dad had such good teeth that they could eat corn on the cob right up until they died.

Finally "Rocky's" is open. This farmer sells mostly corn and is just up the road. His is delicious. Better than anyone else's corn. So far at the other corn stands I have purchased only mediocre corn.

Cheap too, at least for this region. Corn is one of the things I love about New Hampshire. Cape Cod corn is mediocre at best.

The Connecticut River across the street from Rocky's. My friend D. has attended a corn festival in Eden New York several times. Read about it here.

I really love corn too, ever had roasted corn from the oven? I love it! Oh my gosh, your photo in the header is awesome, one of my favorites yet!

I love corn on the cob, too. Our farmer's market sells "Hunny Bunny" blend of white and yellow and it is so tender it just melts in your mouth. Prices here are about the same. Love it.

What did the baby corn say to the mom corn? - Where is my pop corn?

If corn oil comes from corn, where does baby oil come from?

What has ears but cannot hear? - A field of corn.

What did the farmer say when he picked up the corn? - "Aw, shucks!"

(tee-hee) I couldn't resist.

I try to eat corn daily while it's season too. It's one of my favorite foods, just lightly steamed. You're lucky you have a place where you know the corn is good. It tends to be very hit or miss around here and I never know what I'm getting.

Now I always thought that salt air made for better corn (after living in RI and getting corn on the coast whenever possible). But maybe I was wrong!

They say you need to eat corn within hours of picking to really get the sugar before it starts turning to starch.

I had my first ear of New England corn yesterday. Sweet, melt in your mouth goodness! I could eat it every day too.

I love the header too Suki. I never tire of erosion fencing shadows across the beachy sand on the Cape. Great shot.
