oyster plate and other news

A friend on the Cape collects these oyster plates. She has about five of them, they are hard to find. She loves oysters.

The news since my return.

Lovely dinner with son and brother at my place.

I signed up for Match.com but to find out who your interested- in- you matches are you have to pay. Which I wont do. That's okay. I certainly don't want to date or whatever right now.

Saturday, the vet declared Bibbity in need of emergency care re: her eye which is enlarged and the pupil dilated so I drove for 1 1/2 hours one way to Deerfield, Mass. to the emergency vet place. They gave Bibs some eye drops and we must return on Monday to see the opthamologist. We dont have an appointment but must be squeezed in. Worst case scenario is Bibs could go blind. Then she'd have to have an operation to remove her eye. Bibs seems in good health, still eats well, wants to go outside though I've kept her in.

A sunny Sunday day with lots of heat which I love.

Received two girlfriends books while away and have been working on them.

Oh poor Bibs. bummer you have to go so far. See you need to move closer to civilization :)
Sounds like you are busy with Art work now. Hope Bibs eye gets better.

Love the plate (don't like oysters though)...it reminds me of paisleys and India the colors and shapes.

Stressful to have our pets be ill and need us so. Cats can get glaucoma and also can have eye issues related to blood pressure and kidney function.

I will hope for her recovery, whatever you have to do and let me know if you need any advice or someone to talk to...I'd be happy to try and help answer any questions you might have if I can...

Hi Suki!
I'm sorry to hear about Bibs, God, I hope she doesn't need to have her eye removed. Poor thing!
As for Match.com, you must admit it would make for some excellent blogging material ;)

Hope Bibs is doing better by now. Love the swans on that oyster plate. What a fun regional thing to collect.

I ate oysters at the Cape. Also clams and mussels. I prefer oysters the best. I don't like much lobster but lobster ravioli was delicious.

I hope Bibs is better.

Suki, if you are interested in something like match dot com, I recommend plentyoffish.com. It is free and has more people in your area, I've found, than some of the others. Metrodate is also free but I like plentyoffish better.
