Girlfriends round robin

I forgot to take a picture of my own book which Karen now has. But here is my addition to Mim's book with the House theme. I thought the photo of the woman climbing in the window was perfect. As you can see I cut out the windows and door. Behind the door is another photo.
This shows how I attached it to Mim's page, with green ribbon on the back.

I liked my little cut out house so much that I made one in my journal that I've been working on for some time now.

The opposite page. Neither page is completed yet.

This house also has cut out windows and door and is a shaped page, just as the one for Mim's book was.

How clever your book page is Suki!

Love the shape of the page itself,,and the ribbon idea for attaching is perfect! I too like the woman climbing in the window.
Very well done,,,can't wait to see it in the real!
This is a really long page, like 12 inches, right?

Oh, and I love the additional pages you're doing for your journal too. The open door is especially appealing to me,,,again, very clever!
These books are just so much fun!

Annie, it is much fun. Now, this was my page in Mim's book. Her page is to the right.

Babs, thanks. Well, I did the ribbon thing after Mim explained what kind of book binding she wanted. the pages are 6 by 12. Mim had done hers on watercolor paper, so I did mine on the same kind of paper. I think if it were lighter paper it wouldnt stand up.

Suki, this is ADORABLE! I love how you cut the pages into shapes. How original. And your journal pages are really nice. A cozy little Goldilocks house for you.
Just amazing.

A hieroglyphics house with pink shutters! Now if you can find a big house like that--you'll know your dream house, Suki.

Such fun finding a picture behind a door or window. I can't wait to see the books all put together. You ladies are so creative.

I saw this post this morning and work kept getting in my way, but now I am home and can say just how delighted it was to see your house page for MIM. Just a delight. And I think that is YOU climbing out the window to go to YOUR NEW HOME...Maybe the one with oriental letters you are making in your journal. I love the row of abodes including the T.P. too!!!! Wonderful work with pansies and shapes etc. Can't wait to see what you add to my book!!!! Oh and I liked the way your attached the pages too.
