Alfie - Original Trailer 1966

I wasnt happy with any of the you tube videos. I wanted Cilla Black singing the song but couldnt find her. It is fun to see Michael Caine looking so young. See related post below. This movie clip is for mature audiences only.

That was nostalgic, and sweet. I, too, searched for Cilla's version of that song in a video and didn't find a video but did find this mp3, but I have no idea how to put it on a blog page except as a link, but thought you might enjoy listening to it, if you hadn't found it yourself :-)

now you are truly taking me back to the 'good old days' when music was music, and we could hear the lyrics...love michael caine, better as he has got older. i used to find his accent so hard to understand! thanks suki.

Teri, not sure if I need an Mp3 player to download that? But thanks. I thought it was Cilla singing in the movie clip but it might be Cher who did the American version.

soulbrush, not only hear the lyrics but understand them. I agree that Michael Caine got better as he got older. I must say i have always enjoyed British actors much more than American, always felt they were in it for the love of theater, rather than glamour. glenda jackson, judy densch, the Redgraves, and many others. I do love it when whole families are actors for several generations.

Cris, I love the song too.

Cynthia, I think I liked the movie many years ago when I first saw it. Not sure how I'd feel now. I mean, alfie is a bit of a rake. but maybe he reforms in the end, i can't recall.

kj i don't know who said that but yes, i think that's the key. and to know there is never one answer or maybe never any solid answer.

Suki, I'm going to put this movie on the netflix queue. When I saw your clip, I was reminded that when my son was working in our little community market last year, a cashier told him he looked just like Michael Caine in "Alfie." I couldn't imagine a more polar opposite personality, but, yes, there's a physical resemblance.
