Snow, you just can't get away from it!

Here is the only travel journal page I have done so far with movie ticket stubs, house pictures and watercolor. The pages are unbound so I will have to bind them at some other time.

You may have heard that the East Coast received a lot of snow yesterday. Here on Cape Cod we got only about an inch, but it was heavy and wet with an icy top crust.

Bird footprint.

Schools were closed and roads remained slick all day. Today we will have flurries and below normal temps but hopefully the roads will be okay and I can get out and do some of the errands I put off last week.

I'm sure you are tired of the snow but the photos are lovely. Your page is very nice....notice the feather to the right. Hope you get out and about safely- watch your step!

I love the journal page. I keep waiting for it to snow here, but it is still pretending to be Spring.

The photos are lovely. Snow is beautiful for a day or so. :) Thats about all we get here a year. Hope you can get out and about and do since you are there for such a short time. Love the journal page. Is that a seagull feather?

I like your journal page...especially the fact that you are being creative in your pensive time. And that you went out to see a movie. Did you like Slum Dog Millionaire? I have only seen the snips on TV about it...it looks like a modern day West Side Story (India instead of Hispanic)
Is it?

More snow. That sure looks like more than an inch to me! Burr.

Nice to see you journaling!
I love it when my New England friends "bring me home" through their pictures :)

My husband and I loved Slum Dog but I could have done without the ballywood ending. I did think it was brilliant however, the way they asked the questions in the game show and how he got to the answers through vivid memories and experiences. There were a lot of great moments in that film IMHO ;)

Oh no, more snow! It sure is beautiful but driving is no picnic...!
The photos of houses in your journal page look nice. When I was looking, I focused on a dump with good bones, something I could afford to fix at my own speed such as carpeting, appliances and such. Have you decided on the Cape Cod area or just looking?

I love your journal page - maybe the snow will keep you in and allow some more pages. It (the snow) is heading our way tomorrow. Take care and stay warm and cosy. Ann (from UK)

Wow, America has had a lot of snow lately! I love the photo's, especially the bird foot-print.
Glad to see you are continuing with your journal when you get the urge. The houses look quite nice, did they not appeal to you? I like the words at the bottom left, "Take action, any action".

Too bad that you went to the coast to get away from snow, then got some anyway! I thought you were back home in NH this week. Glad to know you are still on vacation. I love your travel journal page! This is wonderful! Hope you weather improves.

Artist Unplugged, I think the feather might be a duck feather. There are lots of them around. But it could be a seagull. lots of them too.

Annie, this snow was a crust of ice. I couldnt even get into my storage unit as the door was crusted shut.

Cris, I'm thinking a duck or swan feather but not sure. I did get out today thank goodness as I was going stir crazy.

Lynn, maybe it was more than an inch. I liked the movie except for the gorey parts. It did remind me of another story/movie though not West Side Story but i cant now recall what.

Laurel, I actually liked the ending of the movie though not the torture scenes and other gorey scenes. One thing about snow on Cape Cod usually it melts quickly.

BSD I am just looking on Cape Cod to see what is here in my price range. Prices are down, but my price range is the bottom of the pack nevertheless. Some of these places need more than cosmetics, which I can do, but they need septic tanks and structural stuff done to them, which I cant.

Anne, today was just snow flurries so I did get out as I was pretty cabin fevery after being inside for so many days due to illness then snow.

Dianne, the photos often look nice, however these were either in creepy locations or on teeny bits of land and crammed in next to many other houses.

Katie Jane I had planned to be away two weeks and will leave on Saturday which is predicted to have 50 degree weather.

Soulbrush, a friend here might want to sell his house. It would be an acceptable house and location for me, it all depends on if he really does it and his price. He's just dreaming right now but I will let him know I am interested.

Your snow photos are the reason I am in Arizona! Lovely photos and what a fun shot of the bird print.

Your travel page looks full and cheerful. I hope you have had a good time. Did you like the movie Slum dog? I hadn't heard anyone talk about it until it started getting rave reviews and awards. I don't even know if it has been in our little town. Surely it will come here if it hasn't already.

Wonderful journal page, with the words you are feeling/dealing with right now but full of possibilities and hopefulness.

Snow here too but light and fluffy until it forms glacial, dirty and black mounds in parking lots...my backyard it still pretty too...have to post a pix or two

Lovely get away for you and maybe the friends house will turn into your new home? Nice thoughts...

My family (11 of us) have made arrangements to vacation at a house on the beach in East Orleans on the Cape this July. I am excited to take lots of photos, make sketches and collect things off the beach. (I'm trying to distract my self from the all the snow outside my window)
