Packing

I am always restless before a trip. Packing clothes, books and so forth. I will leave on Saturday for Cape Cod to house sit for friends who will be away. I am bringing my camera and computer as the friends have a router. Thus I can access the internet. I may do one last post on Friday, but otherwise, see you on the Cape.

Oh, I cannot wait to see photos, what fun, a change of scenery yet you maintain your solitude! By the way......where is that cheesecake? :)

Have the most wonderful time, Suki - you deserve it and it will do you good I am sure. I have always wanted to visit Cape Cod (I am convinced it comes into a novel by Nevil Shute, though I can't recall the title but the story was absolute magic). I will await your blog words and pics with pleasurable anticipation. (How about keeping/making a little travel journal ???)

Have a wonderful trip/time there...enjoy the ocean waves...what will the weather be like I wonder? Walks on the beach doable?

I love your fabric bag. Who made it? I have a lot of swatches of upholstry fabric...I should use them for a bag for me! Thanks for the idea.

I look forward to your photos from the cape.

Suki, I took your idea of a little list of what I'm doing from your side bar...are you okay with this?
Do not want to be a thief of ideas.
But if not I shall remove it.

Artist unplugged, The cheesecake is for Friday. I made it a bit early due to anxiety about preparing meals for parties. Now, since my brother is not coming, it will be mostly all for my son.

Ann, thanks. I don't know what novel that would have been. I have contemplated bringing glue sticks but am maybe not that organized. I dont know. No time to make a journal right now though. And all my needles and thread for books are packed away.

Thanks Elizabeth.

Lynn, generally the temps are 10 degrees milder down there, at least. As long as the wind isnt bad, I think I can go to the beach.

I bought the fabric bag at the farmers market last summer and just love it. So "rich" looking like the old carpet bags.

Lynn, the list idea in the sidebar was Willow's idea originally. I asked her if I could copy and she said yes. As far as myself goes, I'm happy for you to copy it too. As you see, I gave credit to Willow in that section below the list.

Katie Jane, thanks. It will be fun to be able to post my pictures. also I dont have a card thingy so can only hold 24 pictures in the camera at a time. So I like to get them transferred to the computer right away.

Soulbrush the cheescake is for friday. I guess I will give most of it to son since brother is not coming.

I also am quite excited to see the Cape, Suki! What a thrill for those of us who have always wanted a trip there. Right now I'm thinking about a trip I will be taking soon. It's only for the weekend but my energy has been changing in preparation. I know exactly what you mean about packing...and that getting ready feeling. <3

BSD, I am really looking forward to new sights, the ocean, meeting with old friends.

Cris, yes my brother has committed to staying home for 2 weeks to tend my cats which is very nice of him for up here I dont know anyone else to get to come in and tend them.

Kim, yes I am lucky to have this friend who is very relaxed about having people stay in her house whether she is there or not. All summer she has a revolving door of guests. She is very generous.
