chilly but cheerful images, i would love to visit this part of the world....sigh...
walking in winter...it's such a different experience and pace. i imagine that tree with the pods sounds nice when the wind blows, like our beeches whose brown leaves rattle all winter.
Looking at your photos always brings me back as if I was there just yesterday. I can truly feel the cold dampness from sitting on that lonely bench. Perhaps it will have more company in the summer months.
I hope these winter walks are clearing your head and your path.

Wonderful wintery walk.
I can see it now...jackets, hats, boots and gloves...you and me with our hot chocolate. Oh, first brush off that snow and yes, then a good sit down talk. We would get down to this matter of deciding, narrowing down...we would talk of painting, dream journal and yes, maybe listing "IDEAL" settings as if they had already manifested BUT mostly we would smell the fresh air, look at the beauty and truly enjoy one another's company. Not too long out there, the dash back to the house for a butt warm up at the heater! Have a good morning...we are all there with you, wishing you well.

Re; your comment yesterday. I think it is a very good idea to have a chat with your Brother. Maybe he has no idea what YOU are going thru either. There must be some compromise.
I especially love the Abandoned picture,,,,it could make a wonderful abstract painting.
All those tall grasses,,,,with the barren color field of white,,,
hmnnnn,,,,,the hard part I think would be abstracting the abandoned object,,,making it less identifiable,yet part of the feel of the piece.

I dont know if the tree rattles as it is over on the other side of the road from where I live. Still, there are plenty of other rattly things.
Lauel, yesterday's walk was wonderful and left me thinking why dont I do this every day. Today was warmish, in the 40's, a great day to walk but i spent the afternoon catching up on a lot of shopping esp as tomorrow is another stormy day.

Cris, I only just discovered this bench yesterday. It makes the woods edge more homey. I have invited Russ to a coffee sit down on Wednesday so thus had to go out and buy some coffee as I dont drink it.

Willow, Mom spent many years tracing both sides of the family back to the Mayflower and beyond. She ordered a lot of books thru various Geneo societies and did a chart and also has info on computer discs. Luckily, the book seller who came loves these books and was very excited to get them. I think MOm would be pleased.
