Enya - Silent Night (in Irish) Christmas

A friend played a recording of Enya singing "Silent Night" one Christmas Eve. I was at her house again the next Christmas Eve. Let's listen to Enya she said. She searched through her CD collection, she ran upstairs to search, she called her son in to search. Finally she opened the CD player and there it was, never having been moved from the year before! This video is particularly beautiful. Peace, joy, laughter and good will, Suki

That's amazing that the CD stayed in the player for all that time. I have loved Enya for probably 10 years or so. Such a lovely voice. Thank you for this.

Thanks blue sky.

katie Jane, I guess that just shows how often my friend listened to CD's! She does have a lovely voice and I love this cavern or whatever it is where she sings this one.

Soulbrush, it is kind a melancholy song for sure. Hugs back at you.

Cynthia, this one seems haunting, and I love where we see her standing there surrounded by candles.

Merry Christmas to you too Willow.

Marianne, interesting that this song is not known in the Netherlands I guess??? I like this version in gaelic. Be well, suki

Dear Suki,
Unfortunately the video says, "not available in your country" so I can't listen to it. I am so frustrated! I have all Enja's CD's, so must go out and look for this one. The thing about Enya is that her music kind of envades my soul, I often paint listening to her music.
Merry Christmas, Suki.
Love Dianne x

M. Heart, I know. Why is this so sad and moving??

teri, you are right. this song makes one feel peaceful and at ease. So lovely. What the human voice can bring to us.

Hello and welcome The Grandpa. I actually have no Enya recordings myself and now feel drawn to get some. She is lovely as is her voice.

Dianne, that is so interesting that Enya inspires you so. The original CD at my friend's house was a one song special edition CD but I am sure she must have the song on another of her albums too. I didnt realize some of the youtube videos were unavailable in some countries. Have a peaceful day, Suki

thanks Lynn. Hope you are having fun in the north country!

Human Being, good to hear from you. I think I can sense those kisses and hugs and I thank you. May your new year be filled with love and light (oh I do remember though you do not celebrate the new year yet!).

Mim, thank you. I hope your DH has gotten a bit better and over his cold or flu. And that you were abler to have some fun down in Florida.

Britt-arnhild, I am so touched. Blog of the Week. Thank you.
