Yes, more leaves.
For the background of this one I used my black Pentel brush pen which I bought last year and have not yet used.
I've been sketching in this 7 x 10 notebook and I only have 8 pages left.
The two above leaves were drawn in this 3 1/2 x 51/2 inch notebook. It has lots of blank pages.
The pages I've drawn since Oct 1.

You drawing maps again?? Just kidding. Ours are beginning to turn colors finally. They would make a good drawing and colored with my pencils.. hmmm
I am about out of room in my sketch book too. I wish I could get the whole month in this one but alas I will have to get a new one. Isnt it fun tho to look back at the body of work you have done this month so far? My hubby loves going thru and looking at what I have done. :))
Hi Suki,
I love seeing full sketchbooks and journals. Isn't it lovely...I love the edges so much.
And leaves are the perfect thing for you to be drawing these days...what else is a New England Girl to do?
I Love Your Leaf Drawings...don't stop now!
Thanks Suki!
Cris that is so totally sweet that DH goes thru your sketchbook and shows such an interest in what you do. My friend R. used to be that way with my writing. It is fun to look back though I mostly have written notebooks from the past, just one or two with drawings.
Kim, yes the worn edges of a well used notebook are a mighty fine sight. Thanks. Suki
Suki, Have you considered developing some of these drawings into paintings? Personally I think the second large leaf drawing would be a beautiful bold painting.
In a recent evening of wandering, I found your interview on Creating Space. A wonderful interview...your answers gave me more insight into your life past and present. Great story about your book deal and review!! You must be very proud of your accomplishments. I too read Marsha Sinetar's book but it wasn't until 1992 before I could start living a more contemplative life.We all make choices and I believe they are perfect in the big picture...no mistakes.
Mary Ann, that's a great idea about taking the drawings and making paintings. I have been in a dry spot re: ideas of what to do next, although I just went out and got some stretchers to bring inside and put together. So thanks. Maybe I'll try a leaf.
Thank you re: interview/books. Well, I have always felt shame about my self as writer even though I have published two books. Most often I forget about all that.
I agree that we make no mistakes although sometimes it is hard to let go of the idea of a past choice and wishing i had made a different choice. I have that problem about not buying a house when I could have and how different my life would be now if I had etc etc. I wish that regret would fly away. It was not a mistake, just a choice that my imagination latches on to as a turning point choice. It probably was and here I am in what resulted from that choice and it is not bad, it is okay. so why the clinging.
the leaves are good, hell it's all good, do you think you'll carry on after end of the month?
Soulbrush, I am not sure. The drawing has been good, meditative. I dont think I'll keep posting drawings every day for sure. But I do hope I keep drawing. I try not to make future predictions about myself as I tend not to know.
