bonk and bat

Here is the glass and wood storm window that fell out of the door frame and hit me on the head.

A bat clinging to the side of the house.

PS anyone reading this on wed and being puzzled by the date?? Well, I wrote this on blogger in draft and requested it be published on thursday at 5am but somehow it appeared on my blog Wed night??? I'll keep trying this blogger in draft thing. We'll see.

Hi there... found my way here through some common friends of ours... I've always enjoyed the thoughtful comments you've left on pages I visit... how did that window just fall out of the frame??? sounds like you're as accident prone as I am... I keep telling myself to watch out for those deceptive stationary objects... I'll see you around...

Hi Patti. I got a bit of a knot on the top of my head and achey feeling in neck, shoulder and upper back as a result of the compression from the whack but today feel much better after yoga, and use of arnica. Thanks.

Marianne thank you so much. And i got this award from Lynn too but she didnt have the link to the origin of the award. Also I havent yet posted about it on my blog. A very pretty award.

hopper glad you stopped by. I too have seen your comments on others blogs. I dont know how the window could have fallen out, but the hinges to hold it in must have been loose. Be well. Suki

That bat is cute! I like smaller ones myself but sorry about your head. Bats are supposed to be good luck though in many cultures so maybe it was good luck hitting you in the head! :)

Yes Cris I too am glad it didnt hit mom's head.

We have a lot of bats here but I ususally don't see them on the building.

Arnica is a homeopathic remedy to help with trauma, muscle soreness and bruises. I take it before going into the dentists and after too. Any time i have a minor injury to muscles or whatever I also take it. Topically it is very good too to rub on the sore area. It is available usually in health food stores.

Thanks for stopping by Amy. Good to know bats are good luck. Once in Missouri I went caving w/my now ex-husband. We looked up and the whole ceiling of the cave was filled with bats.

Suki, when you said in one of your comments the other day that a window fell on your head I thought it was a joke!!!! Oh, I'm so sorry that must have been quite a shocking thing! Hope your head if fine!

I love the bat, I like them so much, they are so cute and their way of communicating and finding their way is so fascinating. Thanks for the picture:)

I shall try the option to set a date for a prepared post, too, find that interesting and haven't thought that you can do this, thanks for giving us this information,

Have a great day
Andrea
