More Books

Last Thursday I met my friend F. in a nearby town. First, I stopped at the bookstore. As I got out of my car I saw F. on her way into the shopping complex and shouted to her. So, she gave me my Christmas present which was a gift certificate to the bookstore. What fun. I bought five books, one mystery not shown. Two are mysteries, one is non-fiction and the Per Petterson is not the one i wanted (Out Stealing Horses)which is still in hardcover but it will do as I have not ready him at all. The missing mystery I've already finished reading.

Suki, I forgot to tell you the title of the mystery my stepdaughter gave me for me birthday and which I haven't finished yet: "The Timer Game" by Susan Arnout Smith. I like it though find some incoherent things in it.
Let me know if you liked the books you are presenting us, once you read them:)

Does your friend know you or what. :)
How fun to meet up with her and get a present such as this.
Happy reading.
Oh I have read that you got hit on the head with a storm window falling out. OUCH. I hope you didnt get hurt to badly. Not good athing to happen. How did it come to fall out?

Thanks for the title Andrea. More often than I like to say, I find parts of mysteries incoherent, often especially the end where the author is trying to make a forced ending seem natural or trying to tie together too many knots or something.

Cris, the latch that keeps the window in the frame must have broken or something. Not sure really. I am not badly hurt, but feel the knock on the head all the way into my shoulder , neck and upper spine. I took arnica internally right away and also am putting on arnica salve.

What a surprise gift.
Books give us the chance to live many many times.

I ordered your book from Amazon. The fact tha you wrote a book and got it published is incredible. I have tried to write a book about a widow who moves to North Carolina (my favorite state) and starts life again and I'm telling you, it's tough. I have rewritten the dang thing four times and I still don't like it. I only got half way through and gave up. I have difficulty with the fine details. I'm a "get to the point" kind of person.
Your new books look good. What fun. I think I'll just stick to reading.

P.S. I'm wondering what made you choose glass blowing as a subject? Do you know about this?

Thanks Katie Jane. YOu are so sweet to order my book. It is hard not just to write but then to get published. A friend has a fabulous novel but she is having a hard time finding an agent, and that is with lots of help from various "contacts."
Anymore, I just read a lot too and don't do much writing. be well, suki
