Happy Birthday

Yesterday was my son's birthday. He turned 39. So another cheese cake making session. I gave him the whole cake except this piece that I saved out for Mom. He came for dinner and it was nice. I haven't been with him on recent birthdays as he used to live quite far away. In a sense it was also "Mother's Day" for me as I became a mother when he was born. Although really that would have been when he was conceived I guess. I felt nervous about putting it all together, but it worked out fine. Happy Day.

Suki, much water came into my mouth the moment I opened this post.
Talk about Pavlov reflex!
(it is called drooling isn't it, like the snails and slugs at the sight of Cris's garden)

In my mind I have always thought that you are a young woman, and here you are with a son aged 39 :-)
Well, young woman is not about age, is it?

Happy birthday to your son. Sure he is so proud of such a nice mother.
I loved the idea of Mothers' Day being the birthday of our children or the date they were conceived.
:)

That cheese cake...I'm drooling,too.
Loved the plate,too. So delightful.

ha ha we all agree, the cake looks scrumptious, cheese cake is my all time favourite.
my son turns 37 this year, so know how you feel, and when a day with them goes well, then it is a blessing!

Happy Birthday to your son, (my daugher, my baby, is 39 too), and Happy Mother's Day to you!
Can't eat the pie/cake, but glad it made your family happy! Pretty as it is! ;-)

I'm not so fond of sweet things but cheesecake makes my heart beat faster! (one of my favorites)
Nice story, so sweet you saved a piece for your mother.

Thanks everyone. Yes, it does give one pause when one's children are 39!! How times flies is an understatement. I am blessed to be able to spend these days with my son.We have 3 generations of cheescake lovers.
