Buds and blooms

Mom mentioned she would like some egg salad so this morning I made some for her lunch. Celery, onion, mixed with eggs and mayonnaise and the secret ingredient of mustard.
Y'day I baked some peanut butter cookies. The brown sugar was hard so I couldn't use it. But they came out delicious anyway. My brother came in just as I was taking them out of the oven so he left with a bag of freshly baked cookies.
Amaryllis purchased in December is now budding up and soon will bloom.

Mmmm so yummy...I called my daughter to come and see the cat pics on your blog .. now she's seen these and says: I'm so hungry!

The buds are so cute... wait to see the flowers...
Is the cat in the sidebar made of wood or something else?
It's so pretty.

Yes Suki, the /aa/ sound is a long /a/ like in father.

Thank you for your kind and insightful comments... they give a lot of positive energy to me... as this pink color on your blog does... it's so happy. Love it.

The cat in sidebar is carved wood. I found it at a yard sale and think it's a napkin holder. :)

ok, so the egg salad picture almost made me gag since I hate egg salad or anything else eggy....I used to have to make egg salad for my mom all the time growing up and the smell of it sends me to a not so good place! haha--hope your mom enjoyed it. I know those of you who like it love it....the cookies looked yummy! and I have an amarylis that is in just about the same stage.

thanks all for the ocmments. The egg salad photo is not so appealing to me either Mary, once posted. I like egg salad ok, but didn't eat any of this portion. Mom seems to love it though.

Thanks hb for the tip about the aa sound.
