Antsy

Been trying to get things organized so I can drive back to where I used to live, oceanside, to move some furniture out of A's house. So haven't had the focus to paint, although yesterday I worked on the woman's face and also her hand and arm which is still quite unsuccessful.

A bit nervous about the trip re: the rain, snow, sleet weather we have been having. I hate making the choice in bad weather as to drive or don't drive. I won't drive in unclear weather because the 5 hour drive tires me out in good weather, and driving through snow and rain is even more exhausting. But I will just have to wait till tomorrow. The prediction is for snow this afternoon and night.

If I do leave I won't be posting for 5 or so days. Be well all, Suki

How meditative... the woman in the painting... beautiful.

How doubtful.... the woman in front of the painting... again beautiful...

When we doubt... we are not sure about something.. or better to say, about something in us: to drive or not to drive...

Think waiting is the best remedy:

Whether the fog of indicision fades away or another way shows up...

The painting is coming along nicely. Bummer your friend has to move at this time, is there no way for him to put the furniture in storage for you without you having to go there? Be careful on your trip we want you back safe and sound.

PS. Was also thinking if your're going that this would be a good chance to get anything out of your storage you have been thinking about in supplies. :) That ole Groundhog came out and saw his shadow you know. lol

I really like what you've been doing with these paintings you've been working on. They have wonderful spirit but are coming together nicely with color and shape, too. Nice job! You might wait until later tomorrow to miss the weather. We're due for flurries tomorrow morning but then it's supposed to clear out. Good luck!

I think your painting of the woman is grand. I am so new to painting that I think "If I could only do that?"...to me it's so good.

Safe journey. Drive safely. Enjoy going through your things, seeing friends too I hope.

Hugs.
Thanks for all your kind words on my blog, so appreciated.

I love the painting. So serene, it gives me a sense of wellbeing. Be well you, too! Please don't drive in dangerous conditions.

Thank you everyone for your comments which make me inspired to continue onward. I love to paint people. It is sort of me in that the photo I am using to paint from is me 35 years ago much younger. But it is not me, too. It is a woman who will hold vegetables in her arms as if they were a bebe.

Thanks hb. Waiting is always the best remedy. thanks for the reminder. YOu are so wise.

Cris true I could ask my friend to do the task with the furniture. He has the key to the storage unit. But if I can I want to go for the reason you express, to pick up some things from the unit. Also, on Fri will be a writer's group meeting which I can attend and after 4 months of no intellectual stimulation and social intercourse I look fwd to this event.

Mary thanks for your comments re: paintings and also for the weather report!! conditions are always much different up here. As we had 5 inches of snow I think I'll wait till friday.

thanks marianne and Lynn re: safe journey. I will hold these blessings in my thoughts as I drive.

Elizabeth and Kiki your reflections onn my work mean so much. And the safe driving wishes. I am blessed by so much caring. Hugs

Patti, I too look forward to seeing what you paint next. I am not sure if you use oils or acrylic??

Andrea, I do like this woman's face and as said above she is sort of me but not me. I suppose eeven if we paint an apple we are painting a part of our selves. Blessings to all, love, Suki
