A trip to town, works in process

Since the weather has turned warmer, I took a trip to the big town 40 minutes away yesterday. One stop was the wonderful independent bookstore. Some of these books I bought at another time, but this is my stash awaiting reading.
Today I boxed up my 13 collages for the collage exchange. They are ready to mail next time I go into the village.
Meanwhile, puttering with a new wall hanging. Found some lovely pearl beads of mom's she used to make Christmas stars. She said I could have them so now I have lots of pearls of different sizes for my robes and wall hangings.
The shield evolves.
Yet another landscape. The pink doesn't work for me, nor the swirling shape of the snow, but onward.

Excited.
I like your works shown here Suki.
Hey, that is a lot of reading to do.

Congrats for getting all those collages done and out in the mail. Way to go!

Yes Cris, but remember no distractions here. So have got to do something. But I'm always reading at least two or three books at a time except for the terrible time in my life, about 2 years, when I couldn't read anything (this was 3 years ago). I was so happy when i could read again. This was due to the fact that I couldn't concentrate on any more than one page of prose. Not due to a physical ailment.

Lynn, I read abt your first painting class and commented. Yeah for trying the new.

All the artworks were coool! I feel a happier mood in them... more colors ... more energy... a contrast to that eternal whiteness of snow there.. shows you are more powerful than the atmosphere.. This makes my heart full of joy...

Congrats for the collages..
And books... i used to be a book worm!
Love to read about your reflections on the books you read.

I like your use of space and paper and writing...
I'm beginning to read "The Thirteenth Book". Do you read that? I don't know why I had to think of you and connect you to it... I really haven't read much of it yet, but I love it.
