Little Gatherings

I used scraps of paper to make these little gatherings. Instead of glue, I attach them together with a wire, sometimes a bead and wire. I want to use as little glue as possible in this project.
I am using some tulle, recently purchased and pieces of paper towel used to wipe up paints, an idea copied from Natalya. I hope that's ok, Natalya. Also pieces of the painted tissue paper shown previously. And various scraps from my scrap box.
Snippets of lace and trim from my Mom's sewing box. Some of these gatherings I will use in my new altered board book. Some I will make into a small wall hanging.

Beautiful works. I imagine being able to have that creative outlet helps you stay grounded, which must be especially important now...during this time of transition.

Yes Kelly is right, these are beautiful. Nothing here to show you're depressed at your situation of being 'marooned' there. It's rather like you are embracing the time to create there. :)

A variety of layers... of different textures, colors and shapes... on top of one another... pinned together... with that central gem... so amazing...so beautiful...
For me a kind of symbolic representation of one's life... different experiences...layers..

your art is always spiritual.... elevating....

Thank you everyone. Kelly, yes I am blessed to like to make things, otherwise yikes. Course i love to read too and watch movies but these are passive. Unfortunately I dont like outdoor sports or any sports, am a klutz, though I do walk.

Cris, I only get depressed if I think. such as: I will be stuck here for years. Ugh. But I think I am using the silent retreat fairly well except for at night when trying to sleep and having negative night thoughts.

Thanks for stopping by Natalya. I love your quilts and collages. And Sandra, thanks for dropping by and helping me to find your blog which is stupendous.

marianne and Britt-Arnheld thanks human being, yes these layers are such fun to hold in the hands, irregular edges and sizes, krinkly sounding. Small. Your comments are always so insightful and thought out. Blessings to all us creative folks. Suki
