Dad's hat

Andrea drew a sketch of her grandfather in his hat. I wrote to her that I had found one of my Dad's hats up in the loft. I brought it down to my workroom. Here it is. It looks grey in the photo but looks brown to me in real life. It is felt I believe. I can recall him wearing it many years ago. He had it up there in a hat box along with some other hats, one of plaid wool.

That adds a debth to your Dad as no words could. Con was left with his Dads hat too. His Dad came from Montana as did con years ago and he wore a cowboy hat. I need to photograph it too. I begin to see what Andrea is seeing when doing her masks.

Dear Suki, thanks so much for showing the photo of your dad's hat! Would you give me the permission to print the photo so that I can draw the hat eventually? That would be so nice. I can understand if you don't, so don't mind telling me:)
Have a good day,
Andrea

Cris, Con's dad's hat sounds great. My ex husband wore a cowboy hat.

Andrea oh yes do print out the photo. I'm excited you would like to draw the hat.

human being--I guess it was more another era of men who wore hats like these, eh? Nowadays here anyway it's baseball caps.

Oh dads hats! My dad wore hats too, this sort as well. He always 'dressed up'...I guess being relaxed was taking his tie off. ;-)
Different era that.
