AED collage work, altered book, trimming the kimono

At last got some work done y'day. This is a sheet of paper made from strips of purchased handmade paper glued onto tissue. Next I will cut this sheet vertically forming a long strip of squares. I tore my lovely large pieces of purchased handmade paper into strips as I had no scraps. This will be for the shroud.
Also I began underlayers of paint on this altered children's board book. I had previously glued scrap squares and pieces onto each page. Some pages are gessoed, some not. I was going to use it for a sketch book but decided to make it a decorative book instead.

Also, I trimmed the edges of the Moon kimono or robe. I'm thinking about doing something with the edges, covering with paper or something? Edges are always a tricky point for me whether in a painting or in craft work. Does anyone else have that issue. Even when painting on canvas then there is the question of covering the edges with a frame, or ribbon or whatever or leaving the edges open and free as artists sometimes do when painting on gallery edged canvases. IE thicker edges. I really like this unframed canvas look myself and my beeswax collages are done on canvas with a thick edge and left unframed. I think the final work on craft/art work, the final trimming and decoratings, makes all the difference in the world. As with Andrea's masks and spiritpockets and the final beading and so forth she does which just makes them so fine. It's that extra oomph.
