More Flowers and a Cat

A giant tiger lily I believe.
I don't know what this is.
The best closeup of the mimosa I could get as the tree is huge and most of the branches are way up there. These particular flowers have almost gone by.
Some kind of fungus or mushroom growing in the ground.
This butterscotch and white cat has been coming around a lot lately. She sits in the shade of the plantings on top of the giant, above ground septic tank.

That mimosa sure is purty. :)
Your second photo is, I believe, of asclepias tuberosa, or butterfly weed...maybe. Try this link for more info:

btw, my web browser (Opera) readily picks up the Blogger-supplied feed on your page. I've been subscribed for months. Don't always have a chance to read, but been getting the feed okay. :)

I second the opinion about butterfly weed....it's related to milkweed.
