A few things are peeping out in the garden, just in time for Easter. The festival of life renewal, baby chicks and bunnies, yellow and purple flowers.
The poppy. On Friday, I saw a youngish man walking down the sidewalk of a nearby town. Over his shoulder was the short section of a large cross. The longer piece of wood dragged behind him on the ground. At first I thought this was accidental. He was just carrying some wood from one place to another. But later I realized, no. This was purposeful. He was carrying a cross.
Possibly these flowers about to bloom are not exciting to you all out there in the West and warmer climes as you have already had many blooms. It is just 30 degrees out there this morning. Brrr.
