This morning on my walk I passed by a bin of peaches with a sign saying "Free, take some." I know these neighbors are not wealthy, and they have but a small garden with a few fruit trees. Yet they are kind enough to share with others. There was also a bin of squash, abundant at this time of year for sure. It warmed my heart to see this. Being generous myself or receiving another's generosity: both make me feel good and right with the world. To give is to receive and to receive is to give.
