friends

On Friday I visited with KJ and JB and two other blog friends down in Massachusetts. We talked, had a delicious lobster roll lunch--yum and made paper clay pots thanks to the paper clay Mim brought. Here is Mim. The others wanted their pictures approved before posting so I am only showing Mim.

One of the three sunflowers I was gifted with, as were the others.

I also learned that my camera, which I have had for about 6 years, DOES have a zoom lens. I never knew. What a dummy I am. Thus, this triple zoom of my face.

Gifts from Friends

Annie sent me this delightful painting she painted especially for me!! in return for a favour I did for her. I love it. It is my house inspiration and sits above my computer desk where I can see it every day. It's so interesting to see the Venetian plaster effects and I love the hearts and circles. That girl is talented!! Thanks Annie.

This beautiful pin arrived from Robin!! She had noted my various mentionings of the Great Blue Heron who has been coming to the pond with some frequency this summer. She didn't know it, but I adore pins and have quite a collection somewhere or other. This one is a beauty and an inspiration to take flight. Thanks Robin.

And yesterday I received one of Lynn's special pocket books made in part of fabric paper. Where did she find lighthouse cloth, and crab cloth and the sweet little starfish buttons? I adore little purses. Inside my larger purse I keep my change, lisence, dollar bills all in separate little purses.

Each page in this pocket book has a little pocket that opens and into which I can place a bit of sea glass or shells. The theme of this book is a home on Cape Cod! Back at 217 County Road my front hall was a Vintage themed heaven with many little purses I had found at thrift stores hanging amongst Vintage hats and compacts and old shoes and hat boxes etc. I have never seen a little purse as personal and delightful as this one!!!!! Thanks Lynn.

Ah, home sweet home. I feel seen, I feel heard, I feel cared about and loved. And I know you all are on my side as I attempt to overcome my fears and plunge. Love to you all, Suki
