I have been making paper beads. I read about it in a magazine called
Cloth, Paper, Scissors. (Click on magazine name in upper right hand corner.) You take a rectangular or triangular piece of any paper and glue it up with acrylic medium except for the bottom 1/2 inch.
Roll the bead up tight using a straw. When rolled, remove the straw.

Last step is to decorate the beads. I mostly only have paint to decorate with though could use some threads or wire if I get some. But the article had all kinds of other
decorating doodads one could use.
