Tiny Books

Recently I made these three by three books.  Strathmore art paper.  Pamphlet bound.  Collaged covers using  old photos, old buttons, lace, beads, hand-stitched teabag paper (I learned how to do this from Art in Red Wagons).

Have been away from blogging for awhile.  Not sure why.  Doing a bit of Facebook which somehow feels easier posting wise.  But I miss reading everyones blogs so will try to do better.

The spacing on these words seems odd today.

Am in throes of trying to clean out the barn, finishing cleaning out the trailer and dealing with the mess at the farmhouse.  Now the septic system is awry and I pray a clean out is all it needs.

Biggest regret currently is that I didnt get out of this place when I could. These run down places are big hungry mouths needing money.

Thank goodness for John the angel who helped me clear out the barn.  !!

There you are! :) You've been busy I see - with life. As you say "dealing with the mess" of life. Always something... But also still creating! Lovely little books... Good to see you blogging again! (I'm not on Facebook :)

These are charmers...I like the sewing and buttons!
Household stuff can be so aggravating...are you still living on the property? It has all been such an ordeal but I'm so glad to see the art making continues!

It's WONDERFUL to see you creating beautiful things again! It's also wonderful to see you blogging! Lo and I were talking about how we miss everyone's posts...

Ugh....septic tanks!!! But, look at you, *Pippi* - handling all of these things - including clearing out both houses - and even some of your momentos from the past. That takes real courage - something I know you inherited from your Grandmother!

Love to you and Bibitty!

Your small books are delightful to see Suki!
I'm sorry for the mess you are left with there. I hope you will still be able to get free of it all in good time. Might mean selling for less as fix me ups for some who see it as their adventure! Good luck with this.

Looking forward to your visits to my blog! ;-)))

Good to see you back here. I don't do FB much so don't see you much. Love the little books. You are only stuck there if you want to be. Put it all up for sale and walk away to YOUR dream. It was your parents dream not yours. Hope to see more of you here.

These books look absolutely delightful. Real treasures. Nice that you had a bout of creativity to counterbalance the cleaning out chores (which is a form of creative destructivity, I think!).

Such pretty little things - and you know I love the teabag paper - I am SO glad you tried it!!

It sounds like such a big job you have there - I've been sorting through a few of my Dad's things - certainly not a barn or trailer full of stuff - and it is making me TIRED! I think other peoples things can be exhausting ...

I totally agree Kim that sorting out other peoples things is exhausting, both physically and emotionally. Hard enough to keep my own things in order and sorted.

Lovely books you have created! I haven't been blogging as much as usual too. Most of the time because of internet issues. Once the internet desides to work for a while the amount of things I have to catch up seems overwelhming......
Clearing out barns houses etc is a huge work!
I am happy you got help.
Take care dear
