Birthday Saturday

Bright birthday stars
and waxing gibbous moon
autumn leaves

On Saturday I turned 66. On that gorgeous day I drove to Keene and went to three artist open studios. Check out Luann Udell's website. Her studio was magical, filled with beads, dolls, cloth, kimono, amulets made from polymer clay, wallhangings all tumbled together and collected in stacked receptacles. Her inspiration is the cave of Lascaux.

I sought out the library and found it quite large and impressive. Went to an open house, thumbs down. Bought yarn at the yarn store and books at the bookstore. Ate a box lunch in the park. I conclude that I don't care for most restaurant food. Too rich or something. But you like a meal out now and then.

And at home awaited four packages of birthday gifts mailed from friends and some chicken stew my son made for me. And a big thanks to all of you who sent me happy wishes via Facebook! All in all a wonderful day.

Hi there, Birthday Girl! I am thrilled you had gorgeous Autumnal Weather for your special day!
Nice to be out and about doing what you did....

And, fellow Willow Ball Attendee...oooh....I am so jealous, you are bringing Dostoevsky as one of your dates!!!!!

I have *booked* my dates too! (FIVE - this year!) Still *shopping for dress, shoes and handbag!)

See you at Willow Manor! We will have a toast on the 12th! (I think your dates will get along with mine - a-ha-ha!)

Kiss Bibs,

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

It sounds like you had a pretty nice birthday. I like getting out and looking under rock of nearby towns. You had an artist date with yourself! I'm glad you had a nice day.

It sounds like a most perfect day Suki!!! I'm glad you treated yourself so well on your 66th birthday and that your son and friends did as well. You deserve the best! To me you are still a mere babe! As I can be your big sister!

Wishing you many, many, many more healthy and happy and art filled years to enjoy ahead!

Happy Belated Birthday Dear Suki!

What a wonderful day it sounds as though you had in Keene. I know just what you mean about restaurant meals, so your box lunch idea sounds wonderful and you were able to sit in the park and enjoy it as well.

The earth was truly blessed the day you were born and I am so glad you are still able to share so much with us all.

May your year be the most wonderful one yet!
