Well I am still here today

For all of you who have kindly been following my small (I know) health trauma, I had the surgical procedure on Monday and did not have a heart attack or any problems at all. My son drove me to and fro and sat with me while I waited for over 2 hours for my turn in the OR. Later, back at my house, he cooked us some soup, then headed for his home. It was a short procedure (according to them) and I was out with general anesthesia. Today I feel fine with no pain and no obvious repercussions from the anesthesia, but won't drive until tomorrow. This was only the second time I have been in the OR. The first being 60 years ago for a tonsillectomy. Now we just wait for the report from the lab.

Thank you for your patience. I know there are many others out there with far more serious health issues. I send you love and healing energy. Be well, Suki

Suki, I am so relieved to hear the surgery went smoothly and that you are feeling fine. Whew!!! It was scary and I do understand all the feelings you went through worrying about it before hand. Like me, you have been very healthy all your life. We are lucky. Let's hope this continues!!! I hope the results are all good too. Fingers crossed, positive thoughts sent. Hugs for now. Please let me know as soon as you know.

Suki, no matter how "big" or "small" your health problem it is still big to you, and big enough to be worrying about. I hope the results are not too bad or scary, and that you heal quickly and recover your health without too much intervention.

I agree that health issues are relative to our own experience, however small in the scheme of things. You are right to be concerned.

I'm so glad the procedure went well. Find something to occupy yourself while you wait for the results, it will go more quickly! Sending more positive vibes!

Oh sweetie, any health issue is big when it is happening to any of us. I am glad it all went fine and like Lynn I cross my fingers and toes that the tests come back okay. Hugs. xoxo

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Clapping,,,
happy for you it's over.
Anything medical can bring out the very worst of jangled nerves. And it sounded like you didn't receive very good communication from them, so doubly scarey.
So good you have your son there.

Just knowing the results will be A-ok!
Rest up and feel better Suki,,able to relax in the comfort of having the surgery behind you.

Word verification: ending

Isn't that great?!
all done,,,it's over!

Superb news! I am so happy everything went smoothly. I hope the results will be good, as well. Please take care of yourself until you feel completely well from the surgery...anaesthetics can take a lot out of you.

I'm so glad everything went well. It sounds like it was a simple procedure, but I know anything having to do with the heart is scary. I've been hospitalized so many times for so many things that I hardly pay any attention to it now.
I'm glad it's over for you and now you can get on with your holidays.

Dear Suki, I'm so sorry to hear that you have had a scare with your health. How frightening! Any brush with surgery is alarming, no matter how small or large the problem.
It's good to hear that your son was with you throughout and that you are now at home and feeling OK. Rest well. Arohanui, Lesley.
