Technical help sought

This is not my "real" post holiday post but just wanted to ask any techno-whizzes out there. I can't change my template. I am forever, apparently, stuck with this one I have. I have changed my template before so I know where to go to do it, however the page is just black as if inactive. I looked on "help" but didnt really find anything helpful there.

Does anyone know what I should do????

Suki, I have not tried the new templates as I hear that once done you can't change them, this does not should right to me, but I have been afraid to try it. Sorry I don't have an answer for you. Good luck. xoxo

Well, that is frustrating. If you've previously changed your template there should be no reason that you can't do it again. It could just be a server glitch in your part of the world (or some such technical problem) that may eventually right itself.

Out of curiosity/sympathy, I just now tried changing the template for a "dummy" blog I keep for experimental purposes and it all worked fine. I even changed it a few times. I really don't know why it wouldn't be working for you, especially as you've already changed it and know the drill. Maybe it's just an exercise in patience being thrown at you by the universe?

Yes, the template designer can be frustrating at times, and the preview often doesn't work. So persevere! Keeping a dummy blog for experimentation is a great idea!

Hi, Suki. I just tried it on my BLOGSPOT blog (one I keep for my English class) and had no problem. I went to TEMPLATE DESIGNER. At the upper right there was an arrow so I could scroll through other templates. I chose a new one by clicking on it. I could see how it would look on the main screen, while a miniature picture of my blog still had the old template and under that it said "live on blog." Then I clicked APPLY TO BLOG and the new template went live. It should work for you, too.

thanks kelly. for some reason I have no arrow. I have changed my template any number of times before, but now the screen is black and grey and seemingly inactive. also no arrows on right. it is frustrating.
